When asked for my feedback, I shared that I felt Jane's vision for Cyres in the film and found the synergy astounding.

Milk Chocolate: A Love Story

As mine is a "biracial" family I found this to be especially adorable. I put "biracial" in quotes because in reality we are only one race, the Human Race.

To quote a Nina Simone song, "Color is a beautiful thing"
And from Arnold Adoff, "....Black is brown is tan, this is the way it is for us. This is the way we are..."

That being said, one of my favorite books is Black is Brown is Tan by Arnold Adoff. Both he and his wife, Virginia Hamilton, are children's writers. We have them both represented in our family library so I encourage you to check out their work. Another favorite of mine when our kids were younger was Street Music: City Poems by Adoff and by Virginia it was The People Could Fly.

About This Video

In December 2007, on his 90th birthday, Clarke recorded a video message to his friends and fans bidding them good-bye.

The world’s best known writer of science fiction, Sir Arthur C Clarke was the first to propose satellite communications in 1945. One of his short stories inspired the World Wide Web, while another was later expanded to make the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, which he co-wrote with director Stanley Kubrick. He has lived in Sri Lanka since 1956.
